Gujranwala:press release) In collaboration with Pakistan Army, Pakistan Federation Baseball has organised the 26th National Men’s Baseball Championship in Gujranwala Cantt. The four provincial teams, Islamabad, Pakistan Army, Pakistan WAPDA, Pakistan Police and HEC has participated in the tournament. The final match of the event was played between Pakistan Army and Pakistan WAPDA. The Pakistan Army team defended its title by defeating the WAPDA team by 4-0.In the event, Army’s Wasim Akram was declared the best batter and Muhammad Zohaib was declared the best pitcher. The special guests of the final match were Lieutenant General Noman Zakaria, Major General Abu Bakr Shahbaz, Brigadier Sahar Satti, Lieutenant Colonel Haider Ali, President of Pakistan Federation Baseball Shaukat Javed, Secretary General Syed Fakhar Ali Shah and Chairman Umpire and Technical Committee Jamil Kamran. Moreover, the title of the 19th National Women’s Baseball Championship
was also won by the Pakistan Army Women’s Team by defeating the
Wapda Women’s Team.
